Fresh petrol shipment due in Tripoli today as fuel queues persist despite Brega's Monday deadline

Hokoumatuna platform said the petrol tanker ZEFIREA is due to arrive at Tripoli's seaport at 6 pm today carrying approximately 32,973 metric tonnes of petrol. The vessel will begin unloading once entry procedures, berthing and technical and quality checks are complete.
The shipment's arrival is expected to coincide with the continued unloading of the tanker ASIA INSPIRE, which still has around 2,900 metric tonnes left to discharge. Together, the two deliveries are intended to keep distribution companies and petrol stations supplied and gradually increase supply levels nationwide.
The shipments come despite assurances from the Brega Oil Marketing Company that Libya's fuel shortage would be resolved by Monday. As of midday today, however, queues and congestion at petrol stations remained visible in most Libyan cities, suggesting the gap between official timelines and conditions on the ground has yet to close.
