Brega Oil Marketing Company condemned in the strongest terms an attack that targeted the Tripoli fuel depot in the early hours of Thursday, 3 September, after an aerial object suspected to be a drone entered the depot's airspace and crashed near one of the storage tanks.
The company confirmed that no human casualties were recorded as a result of the incident, and said specialised teams and relevant authorities had begun taking the necessary measures and securing the site.
Brega sought to reassure citizens, stating that operational activities and fuel distribution and supply operations were continuing normally without interruption, and that the incident had not affected ongoing work or the processing of scheduled orders to petrol stations.
